Corporate city-states dispatch hunters to investigate the remains of an ancient civilization’s innovative technology. These hunters may uncover treasures while braving dangerous bioweapons and robotic guards. Akira, a destitute youth, resides in the treacherous wilderness between Kugamayama City and scavenges for relics to escape financial ruin. Although his first foray may be lethal, he discovers solace in a cryptic, incorporeal being identified as Alpha.
